Soul Mate vs Twin Flame

Soulmates share a common mission and comparable stage of spiritual development. They come together because they are working on the same type of karma and the same chakra simultaneously. So soulmates have an attraction that is based on the sacred labor and on the path of self-mastery on your personal spiritual path.
In a soul mate, relationship there is always a connection between you from prior lives. Keep in mind that you can have as many as 3000 soulmates in one life time. You have not been happily married to each of them but in some cases you have killed each other or you may have been each others parents, siblings or battling next-door neighbors.
When a couple is experiencing a horrible sex life, it is often because they were siblings in a past life and therefore the intimate relationship in their current life feels wrong. Another common pattern is marrying someone who was our parent in a past life, which provides an opportunity to work out whatever unresolved lessons you might have from the past. In many cases issues are reversed from lifetime to lifetime so that we might learn how the other person felt.
Whenever you consider breaking up with a soulmate, it seems A GIANT MAGNET appears in the sky making you both run into each other in the strangest of places. Soulmates can feel you come in the door when you come home or know when you're in a crowded place. Twin flames are ourselves in another body. When we have reached the stage where we are capable of giving unconditional love, we then have the opportunity to reconnect with our “other half” or twin flame. The chances are that we meet our twin flame briefly in many lifetimes, but one or both of us are not ready for the intensity of this connection. When both halves of the whole are ready to come back together and meet they will discover that in their lifetime they have lead almost parallel lives. The events of their lives will mirror each other almost exactly. They may have come from very similar families and family dynamics. They may have had similar schooling or lack thereof. They may have crossed paths socially or lived close by to each other and never known it. They may have almost identical careers. They may even have previous marriages and divorces within weeks of each other. When twin flames get to know each other, they will feel as if the other is reading their life script. That isn't to say they are identical people, but they are perfectly complimentary to each other.
When twin flames meet for the first time in a physical life, they recognize themselves in the other person. This will come as a deep surprise to both, but the recognition is immediate. At the same time you will feel that you have always known this person who is sitting in front of you. They think alike, they hold the same values and often their life experiences are very similar. Twin flames do not teach each other, they learn together and help each other learn the lessons that have been set before them in this lifetime. When twin flames come together they join forces and are capable of overcoming obstacles the average mortal could not begin to face. They are so filled with unconditional love they literally glow with it and have much to share with others.

Time Apart

The time apart from your twin flame helps you to heal all the things inside you which you have previously been wounded by. The whole cycle of connecting and disconnecting then reconnecting again with deeper intensity serves to make you both realise that you ARE LOVEABLE and ALSO LOVING for you have come back together again, even if the circumstances were not good when you parted. For example, if one of the twin flames runs because he/she feels inadequate within themselves, slowly but surely, the repeated reconnection will open them up to realising that they ARE worthy because the love still remains and grows. It can be a slow progress, but it is progress nonetheless.

Why do twin flames who HAVE RECOGNISED THE CONNECTION still resist it? A huge factor is the INTENSITY of it all. The constancy of thinking of your twin flame, ALL THE TIME, re-living times when you saw them over and over and over, loving them all the time with GREATLY INCREASING POWER, fantasising about them, being distracted by thinking of them to the point that you don't get other things done or cannot concentrate on anything else, worrying that you might go down "the wrong path" (which isn't possible, because you planned what would happen in this incarnation before birth), feeling a huge yearning to exit your body and enter theirs, craving physical contact, talking to them constantly in your mind, feeling frustrated at times when you cannot seem to ease the yearnings for your twin flame, wondering if you are doing enough or the right things to help manifest your union, feeling frustrated and sometimes hurt when things don't go to plan or when you feel tested by things and have to face another difficulty that you need to overcome, all of this being secretly locked inside of your being - IT IS SO INTENSE that although you wouldn't want to change it for the world (most people), it can get exhausting at times and in resisting, you are attempting (usually in vain) to get some needed rest from it all.
Sometimes when twin flames block you out it is because they just need to take a temporary break from it (and get back to connecting to just themselves to feel balanced again) until they feel replenished and have regained their strength to indulge in the connection again (although it is never a conscious choice). It is to find balance between self and other (twin flame) or yin/yang to gain Bi-gender balance (as they feel both male and female sides through the opposite gender type twin flame), because it often feels like you are LOSING YOURSELF in the connection which is scary at first, because in a sense you are losing yourself as you know it because you are joining with your twin flame to become something new.

Try to be strong, and trust that, if it is meant to be, the universe will bring you back together.

Reasons for Twin Soul Separation

There are many important reasons why many twin souls go through a time of physical separation from each other. This is something that is driven primarily by the soul and not necessarily the individual. Even though it may appear that one or perhaps both twin souls are denying/pushing away/running from the connection, really it is because the SOUL is not ready. The soul dictates when reunion will occur, therefore until the soul has decided it's time, then no amount of trying to force yourselves to be together before that time will work.

Perhaps a major block of whether the soul is ready to unite or not is the emphasis you are putting on the twin soul connection and reunion. Perhaps looking at it as primarily about coming together in a traditional romantic way is putting limitations on this and that is why you are not ready to unite.

But this physical separation occurs primarily to "wake us up". All preconceptions about the connection will need to be looked at and if the twin souls have any false ideas about what the connection "should be" and are not accepting it for what it really is, then they will need to continue on in physical separation until they are aware of the true realtiy of this soul connection.

Also, a main reason why we are physically separated from our twin soul is to learn to love ourselves as much as we love our twin soul, unconditionally. But firstly we need to look past the ego that contains all the "shoulds" and expectations, the conditions. Mostly what we blame our twin souls for is really what we are blaming ourselves for on a subconscious level. There are parts of ourselves we may be rejecting, denying, scolding, punishing ourselves for. To try and ignore this pain, we put the focus on our twin soul not giving us something which would make us happy. But really we need to realise it is OURSELVES not giving us what we need for happiness and fuliflment. Until we realise this and act upon our needs for happiness and self-love, the problem will continue to manifest itself between the twin souls as the mirror it back to each other.

The physical separation also helps us to become aware of just how important, how significant this twin soul connection really is. If we were to be together immediately with no problems then surely we would take it more for granted and be unaware of just how important, how significant the connection is. In being physically separated but feeling this pull and experiencing all the psychic, spiritual phenomena that occurs with twin soul connection, we become aware that this is something MASSIVELY important. It helps us to look inwards to discover WHY it is so important and this also spurs us onto awakening.

Our physical separation helps us to realise and strengthen our connection to God/dess. God/dess resides within us, we are divine beings and having the space from our twin souls to concentrate on our relationship with ourselves, with God/dess, helps us to come back to self-love and accceptance. This is what harmonises our energies with our twin souls and creates twin soul healing to bridge the gap between them for reunion to eventually occur.

As we work on our individual selves, the female aspect of the twin soul connection learns to develope more independance (primarily masculine) and the masculine aspect developes expressing emotion in a constructive manner (primarily feminine). Therefore the twin souls have the room to grow and develope their bi-gender energies to realign and reunite.

Think about what you have learnt from the separation - what are the good things that have resulted from this? Have you grown more as an individual? Have you awakened more spiritually? Have you learnt more about yourself? Have you developed more of your intuition? What else?

This is all happening for a reason. It is nobody's "fault" but just the path of your souls to help you learn and grow the most in preparation for twin soul reunion.
